Chris HAMON | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A Channel Islander, Hamon joined from Jersey club St. Peter on the eve of the successful 1992/1993 season. Faced with the impossible task of trying to compete with Craig Maskell, David Mitchell and Steve White for a first team place, he didn't make his debut until the latter stages of the campaign, in the 1-0 home win against Luton Town in April 1993. His only appearance in the Premier League campaign was as a substitute away at Newcastle United, Swindon losing 7-1! In Hamon's final season, he appeared in the first team eight times and scored his only two goals for the club - the first away at Ascoli in the Anglo-Italian Cup, and his last in Swindon's last home game in the 3-0 win over Notts County, by which time the Town were already relegated for the second successive season. In the same month, Hamon was released and returned to the Channel Islands. PLAYING RECORD:
