Before Eoin Doyle in 2019/20, few players had made themselves more popular in a short-term loan spell at Town than Harry Toffolo. An attacking left back, Toffolo’s ability and hard work made him a key part of Mark Cooper’s excellent young side, although an injury picked at Colchester in the penultimate game kept him out of both legs of the semi-finals and meant that he was another Town player clearly less than fully fit for the humbling by Preston in the final. Initially signed on a month’s loan from Norwich, Toffolo made three substitute appearances before supplanting Amari’i Bell as Town’s first choice left wing back and winning his first start against Preston in a 1-0 win at the start of November. From then on, he was almost undroppable apart from when injured and Town were delighted to extend his stay until the end of the season - TrustSTFC assisting with the funding of the loan extension. In addition to excellent performances on the field, he went above and beyond what would be expected of a loan player in his work with the STFC Community Foundation. He was also selected for the England Under-20 side whilst at the County Ground. PLAYING RECORD:
