Jordan STEVENS

A winger signed on loan from Leeds for the 2020/21 season, Stevens hit the ground running with a goal after just seven minutes of his debut against Burton Albion after winning the ball in midfield and playing a perfect one-two with Jack Payne which set Town fans imaginations alight as to what he could achieve in a Town shirt. Unfortunately, that was to prove the highlight of Stevens’ spell in Town and the only goal as it quickly became clear that whilst his pace was outstanding, his general play and especially his end product left a lot to be desired.

Stevens’ contribution in a red shirt was also somewhat limited by the presence of fellow loanee Jonny Smith, a not dissimilar player who also favoured the right hand side. The two were often used interchangeably in games, with one replacing another for the final half hour, and both left Town ahead of schedule in January. Stevens moved on loan to League Two Bradford for the second half of the season, where he made a further eight appearances.
