An England under-20 international forward player, signed on an initial month's loan from Bolton in August 2009, with the Town seriously lacking in options up front, Obadeyi made his debut as a second half substitute in a 0-0 draw against MK Dons the day after agreeing to sign. His full debut followed at the weekend, when he started on the right side against Southampton in a 1-0 win. In truth, Obadeyi perhaps failed to live up to expectations at the County Ground - often choosing to shoot with other players in better positions - and he netted just twice in his opening loan spell, his first a fortunate winning goal against Southend, that featured at least one foul and a missed clearance in the build-up, before Obadeyi's miskick squirmed into the net. Despite this, his loan spell was extended to three months when his original deal ran out - but just two weeks into the extended period, a hamstring injury sidelined him for three weeks. He returned to make four more appearances - his final game being a 1-0 FA Cup win over Woking in November. PLAYING RECORD:
