A French forward who played in the English lower leagues for more than ten years, N’Guessan joined Town in September 2013 after a spell at Millwall. Despite standing over 6’ tall, N’Guessan was a technical forward who wanted to play with the ball at his feet and had plenty of ability, but a lack of consistency defined much of his career. His spell at Town started like a house on fire and he notched eight goals in his first three months at Town, including in his second game away at eventual runaway champions Wolves, but competition from the likes of Nicky Ajose, Michael Smith and the inimitable Nile Ranger pushed him down the pecking order. Over the second half of the season, he cut an increasingly frustrated figure with only occasional substitute appearances and he was released at the end of the season having not appeared in red and white since March. After his release from Town, he signed for Port Vale before moving to play in Greece and Norway before the end of his career. PLAYING RECORD:
