Ian MILLER

Signed by Bobby Smith from Doncaster Rovers in July 1978, Miller was a quick winger whose accurate crosses provided many chances for Andy Rowland and Alan Mayes in the Swindon attack.

Prior to joining Swindon, Miller's career had been pretty uneventful, with unsuccessful spells at Bury and Nottingham Forest, before a spell at Doncaster Rovers caught the eye of the Town manager. Miller had a great ability to reach the bye-line, and his play was a major factor in the Town's attack of the late seventies.

At the end of the 1980/1981 season, Miller left for Blackburn, where he later teamed up with Town legend Jimmy Quinn.
