A Channel Islander, Hamon joined from Jersey club St. Peter on the eve of the successful 1992/1993 season. Faced with the impossible task of trying to compete with Craig Maskell, David Mitchell and Steve White for a first team place, he didn't make his debut until the latter stages of the campaign, in the 1-0 home win against Luton Town in April 1993.
His only appearance in the Premier League campaign was as a substitute away at Newcastle United, Swindon losing 7-1! In Hamon's final season, he appeared in the first team eight times and scored his only two goals for the club - the first away at Ascoli in the Anglo-Italian Cup, and his last in Swindon's last home game in the 3-0 win over Notts County, by which time the Town were already relegated for the second successive season. In the same month, Hamon was released and returned to the Channel Islands.
