|view Halliday's match-by-match record
Halliday's first appearance in a Town shirt came in the 2000/2001 season, when he came on as a substitute in an LDV Vans Trophy tie at Millwall. With the match drawn, Halliday stepped up and converted one of the match-winning penalties in the shootout.
Despite being named on the substitutes bench many times over the next two years, Halliday's only other appearance for the Town came in the following season's LDV Vans Trophy, when he again came on as a substitute - this time just eight minutes from the end of the game, in which the Town were knocked out by Colchester. Though he signed a professional contract at the beginning of the 2002/2003 season, he didn't even appear during the campaign, and he was released shortly after it ended.
