Jordon GARRICK

A fast and powerful winger with a Rugby League background, Garrick joined Town on loan from Swansea on transfer deadline day in January 2021 as part of the deal that saw Kieron Freeman’s three week spell at Swindon come to an end. He was more or less a straight replacement for Jonny Smith who had joined Burton earlier in the day.

Garrick made his first team debut as a forward alongside Brett Pitman in the home game against Shrewsbury, and was shifted between playing up front, as a right winger and occasionally and less successfully as a right wing back throughout his spell in Town. He scored his first Town goal two minutes into Town’s trip to Lincoln in February, converting a Dominic Thompson cross to put Town ahead. His second goal was a very scant consolation at Rochdale in April, as Dale managed their first home win for six months at the Town’s expense.

Garrick limped off injured after 23 minutes on the final day at Wigan, his final appearance in a Town shirt before returning to Swansea at the end of his loan.
