With the Town in the middle of an injury crisis, youth-teamer Francis was brought into the first team toward the end of the 2012/13 season - making his debut as a second half substitute in a 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United in April 2013, followed by a second sub appearance against Crewe three days later.
