Terry FENWICK

A regular England player during the 1980's, Fenwick was signed by John Gorman during the early stages of the 1993/94 Premiership campaign in a somewhat desperate attempt to provide some experience to the squad. With his short temper and tough attitude, Fenwick made many rough challenges during his time at Swindon - and was even photographed smiling after a one challenge that broke Blackburn midfielder Paul Warhurst's leg. After the Town's inevitable relegation, Fenwick featured in the first two matches of the following season, but did not appear again in a Swindon shirt after the 3-2 loss at Tranmere Rovers - a match where an on-pitch altercation with Luc Nijholt resulted in both players being fined. Fenwick was released at the end of the year by new manager Steve McMahon - his final appearance in a Town shirt ending in a sending off for foul and abusive language in a reserve match at Luton.
