Richard DRYDEN

Signed on loan from Southampton in a bid to tighten a poor defence during a disastrous 2000/01 season, Dryden's spell at the club hardly started well - he was credited with an own goal on his debut, during a 3-0 loss at home against Stoke City on November 25th. This was followed by two consecutive victories against Northampton Town and Rotherham United, but his final four appearances at Swindon all ended in defeat. Dryden returned to the County Ground just over a month after his departure during another loan spell at Luton Town, he left victorious as Luton ended 3-1 winners - though it was the Town's first defeat since Dryden left!
