A veteran goalkeeper, signed as cover for Rhys Evans after being released by Cheltenham at the end of the 2003/04 season, Book's appearances for the Town were mostly restricted to cup ties. He made his debut for the Town in a Carling Cup win at Rushden and Diamonds in August 2004, and he kept up his then 100% record with further cup victories over Exeter and Bristol City in November. His only league appearances for the Town came in March 2005, when he came on as an early substitute for the injured Evans in a disastrous 3-0 home reverse to AFC Bournemouth, and then two weeks later, he gave a nervy performance in his only league start, a 4-2 win over Wrexham in a match where the Town went 2-0 down. At the end of the season, Book was not offered an extension to his deal, and he left the club. PLAYING RECORD:
