After an initial deal to sign him in the summer fell through, Arsenal reserve team captain Boateng signed a five month loan in the January 2012 transfer window, but he made just two appearances for the Town - his debut coming in a 2-1 victory at Hereford in February, followed by another 2-1 win over Shrewsbury three days later.
