Brad BARRY | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Hastings-born Barry joined the Town in August 2015 after a trial, having been released by Brighton. The nephew of England international midfielder Gareth, who himself would later be linked to the club at boardroom level, Bradley differed from his uncle as a right sided defender. He quickly settled into defence and made 35 appearances in his first season but polarised opinion - he won the players' player of the season award from his squad, but also came in for stinging criticism from some fans. Having signed an extended deal at the end of his first season, it seemed that he would be a longer term fixture in red and white, but sadly a series of injuries curtailed a promising start to his Swindon career, and his second year brought only seventeen starts before being released to join Chesterfield at the end of the season. In total, Barry made 58 appearances in total scoring just the one goal - a winner against Port Vale at the County Ground in August 2016. PLAYING RECORD:
