Ahmed ABDULLA

A central midfielder signed on a loan deal on transfer deadline day in August 2011, Abdulla made his debut as a second half substitute in a televised 3-2 win over Rotherham on 3rd September. He went on to make just seven appearances for the Town - his only League start in an excellent 3-0 win at promotion chasing Crawley ten days after his debut. Though Abdulla stated his desire to stay at the County Ground for the rest of the season, he picked up an injury in training after colliding with keeper Wes Foderingham in October - when he was still out of action in December, it was reported that Town boss Paolo di Canio decided to cut the deal short - though it was rumoured by some that West Ham had taken exception to the Town's physiotherapists mistreating his original injury.
