In my diary for yesterday, I simply wrote one word.
It read: "Bugger".
So just over 2 hours till the big kick-off and I have to say this doesn't sit right with me at all. The new season of football should never, ever start during the week, League Cup or not. I'd have rather played Brighton on the Saturday just gone, not a Tuesday night.
Anyway, good luck to the lads. I won't be too disheartened with a defeat against higher ranked and decent opposition, I just hope we can give a good account of ourselves on the box.
I'll be hop, skip and jumping my way down the pub in the next hour or so...dreaming of glory.
