Another slow day at work left me pondering how Town have got on over the years in games that have fallen on my Birthday.
Firstly, many apologies to all those of you born between mid-May and late July - my thoughts are with you.
Anyway, it was with much excitement (ahem) and curiosity and subsequent horror to discover that STFC have a bloody awful record on my special day!
In a total of 8 games, we have 2 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses! To add insult to injury, I was at one of those defeats!
It's enough to turn a man to drink.
Surely someone can improve on these figures? |

I can improve a bit on that, 8 wins 2 draws 8 defeats. I was at the game against Newcastle in 1993, 1-0 down at half time, then a 2-1 win at full time, I can just about remember celebrating to excess that evening.
On the downside, I have to admit to sharing my birthday with Joey Beauchump well I suppose somebody has to. |

Mine is 8th March and i thought it would be really bad going on matches i can remember, however it's 9 wins, 1 draw and 10 defeats.

Saying that, i haven't seen a win on my birthday since 1986 so the run has got worse. It includes the Luton Simod Cup defeat in 88 (i was in with the Luton fans that night just to make it worse), the Bolton Semi final defeat in 95, the 7-0 at Bolton in 97 (i do hate Bolton!), and going back 60 years our biggest ever league defeat (9-0 away to Torquay). |

I am a mere 365 days younger than Alessandro Cibocchi.
The biggest game in Town history that took place on my birthday was Swindon Town 2-2 Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Last one to fall on my birthday involved an away win with Pericard and Sheehan scoring goals, feels like a collectors item.

29th september - 5 wins - 10 Draws - 8 Losses.
Including a defeat on the day I was born.
In 1894 lost 9-0 to Milwall Athletic.
I share a birthday with Lord Nelson, Russ Abbott and the Bros twins none of whom played for Swindon Town. |
