The largest crowd of the season (9,426) saw Town scrap out an excellent point against the table topping South Wales club on New Years Day.
Town started brightly and had the better of the first half playing some great football-somewhat suprisingly. Then on 20 minutes Barry Corr saw red for an apparent stamp. Town contiuned battling and held their own for most of the first half, Swansea beginging to take advantage of ample time on the ball towards the end of th half.
The second half was a different story however, Swansea attacking time after time but unable to get the ball into the outstanding Brezovan`s net. Town continued to clear but with little upfront the ball kept coming straight back. On 87 minutes Swansea struck a shot that was blocked solidly by Hasney Aljofree. However, Town were unable to get to the rebound and Butler slotted past Brezovan to send the impressive 3,000 away support crazy. Here we go again I thought. But, in injury time Town won a pentalty and Simon Cox sent the keeper the wrong way in what could be his last game for us.
All in all a great point to wrap up a brilliant festive period. Bring on Barnet and in to the 4th round!
