Much-travelled striker who averaged a goal every other game over thirteen seasons of league football. Hunt joined Swindon in June 1961 from Grimsby, in a deal which saw Welsh under-23 winger Freddy Jones move in the opposite direction. He lasted at Swindon for only just over five months, having netted 15 goals in his 21 league appearances for the Town. Hunt moved on to Port Vale in December, Swindon accepting their £3,500 offer. Tragedy struck just three years later. Having moved on to Chesterfield, Hunt travelled with three other players to watch cup opponents Peterborough. On their return journey, the car was involved in a collision, and Hunt, aged just 33, died from his injuries. PLAYING RECORD:
